ITA hands out mini first aid kits as functional pieces of promotional material. They allowed me to stray outside of their typical brand style and enter a more playful realm in an effort to connect with a Millennial audience.
I proposed a more approachable and catchy name for the kit; the Ouch Pouch. Let’s face it, a first aid kit of this size won’t be used for any serious injuries so why not take the edge off of the situation? For the visuals, I incorporated a personality-filled typeface and cropped the visual elements in dynamic ways. The sobbing child speaks to the ageless feeling of helplessness we have when we get a boo boo.
